×We know that finding that perfect paint colour is the start of any home decor project. That is why we offer a fantastic paint paint mixing service here at Painters World.
Have a paint colour that you want to match? Simply follow these steps & we will do the rest.
The most crucial part of the process, finding the perfect shade you are looking for! There is a couple of options here. Firstly you could search through the colour charts we have on the website & on product pages, including British Standard & RAL colours. Alternatively, why not browse the web for that perfect bit of inspiration. The world of colour inspiration is huge, whether it's on a paint manufacturer's website like Farrow & Ball or on an a home decor inspiration Instagram page such the Painters World Instagram page. All you need is the name of the colour shade that you want.
Our mixing machines allow us to tint a huge range of paints, from exterior woodcare treatments to interior walls & ceiling emulsions. Finding the right product is just as important as finding the right shade, trust us! They work hand in hand together to give the perfect finish to your project. Here are our recommendations:
Interior walls & ceilings
For interior walls & ceilings there are a number of options, depending on your requirements. If you are looking for an excellent all-round option with a flat matt finish, then Crown Trade Vinyl Matt is our recommendation. It really does offer excellent value for rooms with low-wear such as living rooms, bedrooms & dining rooms. It however can be marked quite easily, and therefore is not suitable in high-wear rooms. For kitchens & bathrooms that may require more cleaning, an eggshell finish is ideal. Something like Dulux Trade Eggshell will offer slightly higher sheen, and higher durability than a matt finish. Alternatively, if you want a flat finish in these rooms, there are scrubbable versions of matt paints such as Crown Trade Clean Extreme Scrubbable Matt, which will not become marked when scrubbed.
Exterior masonry walls
If you are looking for a unique colour for your exterior walls, there are a few options. The best value for money one however is Armstead Masonry Paint, which is a very good price, although it offers less weather resistance than other options. In our opinion, the best masonry paint is reserved for Emperor Masonry Paint which is waterproof, breathable, self-cleaning, keeps homes 6 degrees warmer & comes with a lifetime guarantee. Unfortunately it is not available in colour mixing, however we couldn't recommend it highly enough.
Exterior wood paint
There are two brilliant options; Zinsser Allcoat in satin, gloss or matt & Sadolin Superdec Satin Opaque. Both offer excellent solid colour finishes for exterior wood and can be tinted to any paint colour. Zinsser Allcoat is slightly more expensive but can be used on almost any exterior surface, which is a really handy option to freshen up your outdoor spaces!
Exterior wood stain
We have one recommendation for an exterior wood stain, and it is Sadolin Classic Woodstain. It is a brilliant product that allows you to add colour to your exterior wood while still showing the grain of the wood. You really can't go wrong!
So you have found the shade you are looking for and the right paint for the job, now you just need to tell us & we do the rest. Simply visit the product page of any paint that has our colour wheel in the image, or that has 'tinted colour' in the product name. You can't miss them!
Once you are on the product page, you can either select the colour from the colour chart available, or type in the name of the shade in the text box.
Then just select the paint tin size you want and that's it, the perfect bespoke paint just for you.
