Zinsser Gardz Sealer

Zinsser Gardz is a unique water-based clear sealer that is specially designed to provide a solution for porous and potential problem surfaces. Zinsser Gardz is formulated to deeply penetrate and dry to a hard, moisture resistant film that seals porous, chalky and crumbling surfaces to create a solid base to paint onto.

Gardz® is particularly recommended for damaged drywall, new drywall, spackling and joint compound skim coats, plaster, uncoated wallpaper, wallcovering adhesive residue, textured paint and more.

Application

Surfaces must be clean, dry, sound before application. Remove loose or peeling paint by sanding or scraping the surface. Stir well before using and do not dilute. The thin, milky liquid can be applied using a brush, medium pile roller or sprayer. Apply the primer liberally, but avoid spilling or dripping. Clean up spills and drips with a wet, soapy cloth or rag and warm.
