×Suretherm Anti Condensation Paint is an internal water-based emulsion that is specially designed to help deal with internal mould and damp caused by condensation. By significantly reducing condensation, the unsightly and potentially harmful black mould does not have the required conditions to grow.
But how does Suretherm achieve this? Suretherm contains glass microspheres which allow it to absorb heat from the central heating of a property rather than allowing this heat to escape through the wall. By retaining heat twice as long as a standard emulsion paint, Suretherm uses this heat to prevent the formation of condensation, which is made easier on cold walls.
While it comes in white as standard, Suretherm once applied can then be wallpapered over or even painted over using any emulsion paint.
Suretherm is the perfect internal solution for cold walls and ceilings, as well as humid areas such as bathrooms and kitchens that are susceptible to mould growth. While primarily designed for interior walls & ceilings, Suretherm Anti Condensation Paint can be applied to wood & metal, making it ideal for industrial applications, such as ducting, steel frame buildings, metal roofs, shipping containers and other surfaces which may be susceptible to condensation problems.
The main uses for Suretherm are:
Application
Ensure the area is well ventilated before applying. Stir gently and thoroughly before use. DO NOT use a powered mixing paddle as this will impact the performance of the coating. Ensure application temperature is between 5-25°C. Surfaces should be clean, dry and free from grease and dirt. Remove all loose and defective paint and lightly sand glossy areas with sandpaper. Any visible mould should be cleaned with Suretherm Preparation Treatment Spray. Apply two coats of Suretherm, allowing 4 hours between coats. The coating should be touch dry in 2 hours depending on humidity and temperature. Allow for extra drying time in cold and wet weather conditions. For best results, use a medium pile roller. New plasterwork should be allowed to dry completely before applying Suretherm.
