Sadolin Polyurethane Floor Varnish is a floor varnish suitable for all wooden flooring including hardwood and softwood boards and parquet. It possesses all the benefits of a water-borne varnish, such as low odour, quick drying and fast re-coat time. The inclusion of combined polymer chemistry gives a tough, hard wearing finish that makes it it ideal for use on wooden flooring and stairs subject to high traffic. It is also resistant to stains and creates an easy to clean surface on timber.
Application
Timber surfaces must be suitably prepared, clean, sound and dry. Fill any cracks or holes in the timber using a suitable wood filler. Remove any previous coating and proceed as new timber. Use a fine grade sandpaper to create a key on the surface and remove dust.
Apply only one coat of Sadolin Classic and allow to dry for 3-5 days before the applying PV67 Heavy Duty Varnish. If using a stain other than Sadolin Classic it recommended to test first to ensure compatibility.
Apply three coats of Sadolin PV67 Heavy Duty Varnish in the direction of the grain, allowing it to dry for 1-2 hours between the first and second coat, and 3-4 between subsequent coats. For best results use a good quality, synthetic paint brush or short-pile roller. It is recommended to sand the surface between the second and third coats for best results. Do not allow heavy traffic for at least eight hours, do not install furniture for 24 hours and do not install rugs until one week after application.
