Sadolin Classic All Purpose Woodstain

Sadolin Classic Wood Protection absorbs deeply into the timber to provide exceptional protection against the weather. Its microporous formulation allows any moisture within the timber to freely pass through the surface. It is also designed to remain flexible, allowing for any expansion of the wood with temperature changes. This prevents any peel of the stain, allowing it to perform long-term.

This product is particularly effective on large areas of timber such as cladding, fascias, decking, fences and rough sawn timber. It is also ideal as a base stain on new joinery which is to be subsequently treated with Sadolin Extra. Not suitable to use on surfaces previously coated with a medium/high build coating such as an opaque wood paint.

The colours represented on our website are not an exact match to the colours within the can of woodstain you purchase, if in doubt we suggest you try a sample pot first. Don't forget, Sadolin Classic is also available in a range of colours with our paint mixing service. Visit our Sadolin Classic Woodstain Tinted Colour product and either type in your desired shade or browse our colour palettes.

Application

Ensure that you prepare the surface properly before applying the paint. Remove any loose or flaking paint, fill any holes or cracks and ensure the surface is clean. Lightly sand base stained timber using sandpaper without breaking the coating.

For best results use a good quality, long-pile paint roller or soft bristle brush. Apply Sadolin Classic to the timber, redistributing the coating after 5-10 minutes in the direction of the grain. Allow a minimum of 16-24 hours drying time before recoating or applying Sadolin Extra as a topcoat.
