What is Masking Film?
Masking film is a form-fitting film that can be applied to a range of surfaces to quickly and easily mask both large and small areas whilst creating paintable edge like masking tape. The majority of masking film can be used on outdoor and indoor surfaces and is perfect for preventing over-spray flaking and drips during any paint application.
Masking film comes in long rolls from of up to 25m+ and in varying widths depending on the size of the surface you are painting.
It often comes in two forms. The first is called a pre-taped masking film that comes with a tape attached that allows it to be quickly and easily applied to the surface with minimal effort. The second has no tape, relying instead on the adhesive it uses to attach to the surface.
How To Use Masking Film?
To apply the masking film to a surface, simply unfold the film downward across the edge of the surface you are painting, like you would with masking tape, pressing it flat against the wall. Masking film can also be applied using a dispenser such as the Q1 Masking Film Dispenser which can allow the film to be rolled and cut even quicker.
