We all get a bit tired of our homes occasionally and believe it or not you don’t have to make a hefty dent in your bank balance, or spend weeks and weeks on one project, to see a difference. We’ve put together some super-simple hacks to help you fall in love with your home, all over again.

Freshen Up Furniture

Replacing the furniture from every room is a costly and probably unnecessary task. Try to focus on a room at a time and have a look around in the shops and online at what your current tastes are. This will help you see what you’re aiming for. Easy updates like handles, feet, a lick of paint, or even covering with vinyl, wallpaper or stencilling can transform existing items. You only need have one little project like this per room to give a new dimension.

Bringing Outside, Inside

I know we’ve banged this drum in one of our recent posts but bringing some greenery into your home, whatever the size really does somehow modernise things. Even if you’re not particularly green fingered start with succulents or consider going with faux greenery as a quick fix, there are plenty of great options available. Shop around for pots that will add colour and texture to your space.

Declutter- Regularly

Most people hate this job, but we promise, cleansing the space allows you to not only make places look bigger but also will allow you to see any gaps where you can improve. We are all guilty of hoarding to some degree but be brutal and send all of your unnecessary bits to the tip or charity shops, to do some good in the process.

Protect High Traffic Areas

Children, pets and just general life are all hard wearing on our homes, so it might be smart to concentrate on high traffic areas to improve before looking at other rooms. Start by freshening things up with a coat of paint, which is guaranteed to last. Window Dressing

The way a window is framed completely alters the rest of the room. Create interest by being brave and going for pattern and colour you might not put elsewhere but will compliment everything else in the room too.
