Johnstone's StainAway contains innovative components that permanently isolate and cover stains. Even persistent stains such as water-marks can be covered in one coat, and stains won't penetrate through the film, keeping the end finish as intended. StainAway does the job of two products, working together to isolate stains, saving you time on the job by acting as a primer and a finish in one, This results in you completing the job much faster. The class 1 scrub rating guarantees a highly durable, professional finish that resists scuffs and scrapes, thereby reducing the need for maintenance.

Application

Ensure that you prepare the surface properly before applying. Remove any loose paint if it is a previously painted surface, clean the surface to remove any dirt & grime and fill any holes or cracks using filler.

Any bare porous surface can be sealed using a mist coat of Johnstones Trade StainAway. Dilute StainAway by up to 20% with clean water and apply to the surface.

For best results in one coat, ensure you apply StainAway generously with 11m² per litre coverage, although avoid over spreading. Strong stains may require further coats.
