Rust-Oleum Epoxyshield Garage Floor Kit

The product has an excellent wear, impact and abrasion resistance like heavy foot and vehicle traffic. Resists chemicals and standing water. The kit consists out of a 2-part epoxy coating, a cleaning solution, decoration chips, paint paddle and an instruction DVD.

Apply on concrete floors, which are completely clean and dry. It is not recommended to apply on smooth/dense concrete or concrete containing a curing compound, which will prevent a good adhesion. Can also be applied on old good adhering coatings.

Application

Remove any oil or grease spots on the floor using a scrub brush and a cleaner & degreaser. Remove any excess cleaner with paper towels and rinse thoroughly with water.

Mix all concentrated cleaner from the kit with approximately 7½ litre of water until dissolved and spread the mixture over the floor. Scrub thoroughly with a stiff bristle brush to loosen dust and dirt. Once all sections are completed, rinse and squeegee the entire garage floor to remove any cleaner and allow to completely dry before applying the coating.

Pour the contents of the products into a container and allow mixed product to stand, before rolling the coating on to the surface. Use within 1 to 2 hours of initial mixing. Apply Rust-Oleum EpoxyShield® Garage Floor Coating in sections of 1.5 x 1.5 m so that paint chips can easily be scattered on the freshly coated surface. Maintaining a wet edge will help to prevent lap marks and gloss differences. Sprinkle the decorative paint chips onto the wet film or skip this step if chips are not desired. The product is touch dry in 16 hours (suitable for light foot traffic), recoatable in 48 hours (suitable for normal foot traffic and heavy items) and fully cured in 7 days (suitable for vehicle traffic). Only one coat is required however further coats can be applied if desired.
