5200 Rustoleum Epoxyshield Ultra Floor Paint 5L

5200 Rust-Oleum Epoxyshield Ultra Floor Paint is a quick-drying, single pack water-based floor coating (epoxy-modified acrylic) for light to medium duty such as normal foot traffic or limited vehicle traffic.

It offers good resistance to diesel, motor oil, coolant fluid, various household chemicals and most types of tyre. EpoxyShield 5200 Ultra can be applied on concrete floors which are completely clean, dry and treated with EpoxyShield Maxx Sealer 5220. Do not apply to smooth and completely sealed concrete or concrete containing a curing compound. Such substrates will prevent a good adhesion. Can also be applied on old good adhering coatings. It is advisable to wait for at least one week after application before parking a vehicle, In case of petrol spilling/leakage do not wipe the floor dry but let it evaporate.

Overall, 5200 Epoxyshield Ultra is a superb coating if you are looking for an easy-to-apply coating for concrete and garage floors.

It is available in three standard colours, RAL 7001 Steel Grey, RAL 7035 Light Grey and English Red.

Application

Ensure that you prepare the surface properly before applying the paint. Remove any loose or flaking paint & fill any holes or cracks. Remove oil, grease and all other contaminants with EpoxyShield® Cleaner/Degreaser 2901. New concrete requires at least 30 days to set.

Always pre-treat absorbent, porous surfaces with EpoxyShield® Sealer 5220. Roughen still-intact floor coatings using sandpaper to provide good adherence.

Stir the coating thoroughly prior to use. While the coating will be touch dry in 1-2 hours, leave 6 hours between coats to allow the coating to fully dry. It will take up to a week for the coating to fully cure. Apply the coating using a brush or roller to a coverage of 9m² per litre.
